Securing Your iPhone

We’ve discussed iPhone security several times on this blog (such as this recent article about the insecurity of the iPhone passcode). An iPhone stores more than just your phone numbers, and, as such, it needs to be secure. There are weaknesses, but there are also ways to make it more secure.
Wired has a Secure Your iPhone How-To Wiki which looks at the basic security issues surrounding the iPhone: setting a passcode, enabling auto-lock, and remapping your Home button. As this is a wiki, one can expect that it will expand over time with other ideas. Remember that you can also ensure that your iPhone is free of malware by scanning it with VirusBarrier X5; this is especially important if you’ve jailbroken your iPhone, which renders it more liable to security risks.
