Apple has released Safari 5.1.4, the latest version of the company’s web browser for OS X. This release fixes dozens of security flaws, many of which were also fixed in the recent iOS 5.1 update. As Safari in iOS also uses the WebKit page rendering framework, many of these flaws are the same.
The Safari update also fixes an issue where “Web page visits may be recorded in browser history even when Private Browsing is active.”
Users can download the latest version of Safari here. More information about this security update can be found here.
