Microsoft has issued software updates for Microsoft Office for Mac 2011, releasing the 14.3.6 update on July 16, 2013. Microsoft’s Office 2011 14.3.6 update offers the latest improvements in Office for Mac 2011, but does not include any security related bug fixes. The 113.1 MB update is available for users running Mac OS X v10.5.8 or a later version of the Mac OS X operating system.
As described on Microsoft’s support website, the following issues are resolved in this update:
Message sending in Microsoft Outlook for Mac: This update fixes an issue in which Outlook repeatedly tried to send messages that exceeded certain server-side size limits from the Outbox. Now, messages that exceed these size limited are put in the local Drafts folder after three unsuccessful attempts to send the messages.
Syncing a folder which which lots of messages were deleted in Outlook for Mac: This updates fixes an issue in which syncing a folder from which many messages were deleted on another client frequently caused Microsoft Outlook for Mac to freeze.
Saving files to a Server Message Block (SMB) share in Microsoft Word for Mac: This update fixes an issue that causes Word to be unable to save files to an SMB share.
Users running Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac can apply these updates at your own leisure. You can update your software using Microsoft’s AutoUpdate application, or you can visit Microsoft’s Download Center to get the Office 2011 14.3.6 update for Mac.
