Microsoft has issued an update for Microsoft Office 2008, calling it the Office 2008 for Mac 12.1.9 Update. This update includes “vulnerabilities in Office 2008 that an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of your computer’s memory with malicious code.” This 268 MB update is available from Microsoft’s web site, or via the Microsoft AutoUpdate application.

For Office 2004, it’s the Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac 11.5.5 Update, and it’s 59 MB, containing the same security fix, and downloadable from the same page.

Finally, the Open XML File Format Converter for Mac 1.0.3 has been released, containing a security fix as well. Same link as above for downloading it.
