Apple has announced a press event for October 20, where they will be getting “Back to the Mac.” The invitation includes a graphic (see below) with a lion peeking out from behind an apple, a clear sign that the cat name for Mac OS X 10.7 will be Lion.

Apple will likely be giving a preview of the next major release of Mac OS X, as well as, perhaps, introducing new (or upgraded) hardware. We’ll be watching closely to see what’s coming in Lion, as will many Mac users.
