LinkedIn apparently didn’t want to get left out of the party, as they too have now added a second step in their authentication process. At this point I think it’s safe to say we’re getting quite close to the “hundredth monkey effect,” where having a second verification step will soon be considered the de facto standard for login security.
Have you started adding a second step of verification for your various accounts where this is now available? What has been your experience with this? Did you find it to be a fairly painless experience, or did you find it to be a difficult hurdle to jump?
