Apple has updated its iOS for the iPhone and iPod touch, to version 4.1, and this update contains fixes for a number of security issues. Most of the fixes are for WebKit, the framework used to render HTML pages, used in Safari, Mail and many other applications. But there is also a patch for a FaceTime issue whereby “An attacker in a privileged network position may be able to redirect FaceTime calls.”
The update is available via iTunes for compatible devices. Full information about the security fixes is available here.
