Our award-winning X8 products have done an excellent job protecting our customers and keeping Macs free of malware and other nasty threats, but like all technology, things can always be improved. After much hard work from our dedicated team, today we’re incredibly proud to announce a new update to our cornerstone Mac antivirus software, VirusBarrier X8 version 10.8.5.

VirusBarrier X8 is available for volume purchases for business customers, and is also included in Mac Internet Security X8, Mac Premium Bundle X8, and other Intego consumer security products for Mac.

The software update includes major rewrites of the processing and memory systems for increased efficiency, as well as increased speed of malware definition updates. Minor enhancements include user interface improvements for easier interaction. This update is available free to existing customers.

Try our updated Mac antivirus software and tell us what you think! Current X8 customers can update to VirusBarrier 10.8.5 by using NetUpdate; look for the Intego icon in your menu bar or in your Applications folder.
