Google has updated its Chrome browser to patch a vulnerability made public in the Pwn2Own contest last week. Interestingly, this flaw was only exploited on a BlackBerry smartphone, as no contestant took on the Chrome browse directly, running on a Mac or PC.
The bug patched is in WebKit, the HTML page rendering framework that is used by Chrome, but also by Apple’s Safari. This means that Apple will have to issue a security update for this flaw as well.
