Google Chrome Browser Turns 12 With Security Fixes
Posted on by Peter James
Google has released version 12 of the Chrome web browser, and with it, has patched 15 vulnerabilities. None of these vulnerabilities are critical. The browser has also added a malicious file download warning. Using Google’s Safe Browsing API, the new system alerts users if files are downloaded from sites known to be dangerous. We have not yet tested this to see if it flags the fake antiviruses that are currently targeting Mac users.
You can update Chrome by launching the browser; its auto-update feature will get the latest version. Otherwise, you can download it here.
