Apple has released a security update for Mac OS X 10.5, Leopard, specifically to update Java. This 161.35 MB update, Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 5, patches 25 bugs in Java, fixing problems such as untrusted Java applets obtaining elevated privileges, or unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution.
