Apple Releases Java Security Update for 10.5

Apple has released a security update for Mac OS X 10.5, Leopard, specifically to update Java. This 161.35 MB update, Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 5, patches 25 bugs in Java, fixing problems such as untrusted Java applets obtaining elevated privileges, or unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution. This update is not for Snow Leopard, but is important for anyone who has not upgraded to Mac OS X 10.6. It can be downloaded via Software Update, and more information is available here.
