Apple Issues iLife Update with Security Fixes; Tiger Only
Posted on by Peter James
Apple has release an update to its iLife software, iLife Support 8.3.1. This update is only for Macs running Mac OS X 10.4.11. In addition to providing bug fixes, it also patches three security issues. All three of the problems patched are described as, “Viewing a large maliciously crafted . . . image may lead to an unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution.” Two of these problems deal with TIFF images, and one with JPEGs. You can find out more about the security update here, and you can download the update, as always, via Software Update.
