Adobe’s First Quarterly Security Updates Patch Acrobat and Adobe Reader

Posted on by

In the first of Adobe’s planned quarterly security updates, the company has issued security updates for Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader. As the company says, “Critical vulnerabilities have been identified in Adobe Reader 9.1.1 and Acrobat 9.1.1 and earlier versions. These vulnerabilities would cause the application to crash and could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.” The updates patch a dozen vulnerabilities in these two programs, and are strongly recommended for all users. Download links are provided on the Adobe security bulletin page.
