Intego’s Privacy Policy

Intego recognizes your right to privacy and confidentiality and we are committed to protecting your personal information. The following explains what information we gather when you use VirusBarrier for iOS and how that information is used. By installing and running VirusBarrier for iOS you are accepting the policy described below.

Information Collected

When you install VirusBarrier for iOS and run it for the first time, we will ask you to voluntarily create an account. This account allows Intego to notify you of critical software updates or additional software that may be of interest to you. During this process we will ask you for your e-mail address to use as an account identifier.

VirusBarrier for iOS also collects some non personally-identifiable information about how the application is used. This information is collected for the purpose of understanding how the software is used to provide the best experience possible. When it is sent to Intego it is not linked with your user ID.

When information is sent to Intego, it is sent by SSL (Secure Socket Layer), ensuring that your personal information is encrypted and cannot be intercepted between your computer and our server.

Intego does not sell or share your e-mail address with any third party.
